Coversong Too

from October Surprise by vonHummer

/

about

This song grew out of "Coversong" when I realized I had found enough cover songs using that same classic three chord progression to make a second cover medley. I figured I could alternate them in performance to keep folks from burning out on them.

Never made a proper recording of this one, either, and in its original form it wasn't different from "Coversong:" one song snatch following another. But in re-recording it for download, I messed with the arrangement, interspersing the different songs as refrains to maybe tell a story that wasn't there before.

I like this one much better than the unoriginal original, because it's just more original. Unfortunately, the original original is the arrangement engrained in my memory, and now anytime I go to play "Coversong Too," I have to dig this recording up and re-learn it.

I've heard this one for the first time SO many times!

That's the Eko guitar, there.
